For Clergy Considering New Employment
Diocese of Chicago clergy considering new employment may wish to submit their credentials for consideration at the semi-annual Transition Ministry Conference. Beginning March 8th through the 12th (2010), Canon Randall Warren will gather with Deployment Officers from several Episcopal Dioceses.
If it helps to have a comparison, the Transition Ministry Conference is much like a “virtual” job fair. In addition to Canon Warren, more than 45 other Deployment Officers take part in the conference.
The credentials circulated at these conferences include a Transition Ministry Personal Information form and the first page of a clergy-person's CDO summary. The provided information is held in confidence among the Diocesan Deployment Officers, it is not shared with church/agency search committees.
If you are interested in having credentials presented at this conference, please do the following:
- Update your CDO on the Church Deployment Office website (so the review date is no older than February 2010)
- Complete a Transition Ministry Personal Information form
(NOTE: the information sheet cannot be longer than one page.)
The Transition Ministry Personal Information form can be completed through the website by linking to: Transition Ministry Personal Information form. Although a person's resume is not included in the circulation packet, Canon Warren will find it helpful to have it on hand as an additional reference.
Completed credential packets NEED to be e-mailed to Elizabeth(Beth) Erickson BEFORE March 3rd. The packets may also be faxed to her at 312-787-4534. If you have any questions, please call Beth at 312-751-4212.
