POSITION OPENINGS Youth Minister for St. James the Less, Northfield The Episcopal Church of St, James the Less seeks a part-time (12-15 hours weekly, including Sundays) youth minister to revitalize their existing ministry with 6th through 12th grade youth as a vital part of parish community life. The Youth Minister needs to be creative and innovative in planning programs, have a heart for youth of all ages supporting them in their Christian faith journey, relate well with parents and other adults, and be able to share his or her faith in Jesus Christ in a relevant and meaningful way.
St. James the Less is in Northfield, a small North Shore community. The parish is known as an energetic, inviting community where all are welcome. The congregation is comfortable with a variety of liturgical expressions which includes a vibrant musical tradition. Members have a heart for outreach with a specfic focus at a local health care facility. They truly enjoy playing, working, and praying with one another.
The parish is looking for a youth minister who shares these values and can nurture the faith of their young people. Bachelor’s degree and background check required. Competitive salary.

Parish Administrator for Holy Family, Park Forest Church of the Holy Family in Park Forest is seeking to fill a parttime parish secretary position. The current secretary will be retiring by year’s end. The position is 25 hours a week, Monday through Friday, and hours are negotiable. Duties consist of preparing the Sunday bulletin and monthly newsletter, and managing office operations, mail, phone service, and other communication. Music Program Leader for St. Benedict, Bolingbrook The Church of St. Benedict, the Episcopal church in Bolingbrook, IL, is seeking a dynamic person to creatively lead the music program of our congregation. Duties would include directing an adult choir and playing piano/organ for the church services, and being part of a leadership team for worship. Music Director for Palos Park The Church of the Transfiguration, Palos Park seeks a part-time Director of Music to lead the choir and play the organ for our 10 a.m. Holy Eucharist and special services throughout the year. The Director of Music is a relational and ministerial role, and requires working collaboratively with the choir under the direction of the rector (pastor) of the congregation. The parish employs a variety of musical and liturgical styles. The Director is a member of the parish’s Music Ministry Team that sponsors special musical events, and works periodically with church school children to teach and lead them in special children’s choral performances.
