Anglican Advance is the official newspaper of the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago. The publication serves Episcopalians in Northern Illinois by reporting on the life and work of the congregations, agencies and organizations of the diocese; the Episcopal Church; and the worldwide Anglican Communion; by providing commentary on the faith, governance and social witness of the church and society at large; and by sharing information on events, ministries, and resources that enable individuals, organizations, and congregations of the diocese to be more effective witnesses of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Anglican Advance is published as a tabloid newspaper four times a year, and distributed by mail to over 17,000 diocesan households and clergy, diocesan organizations, and interested persons and organizations outside the diocese. Members of the diocesan congregations receive Advance free of charge. Non-diocesan subscribers pay an annual $10 subscription fee.

NOTE: As of October 1, 2009 Anglican Advance changed its publication schedule from bimonthly to quarterly.
