- Youth Ministry
OFFICE OF YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY
The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry develops and coordinates programs for junior and senior high age youth, college and university students, and young adults. Its programs include the annual diocesan Summer Camp, the spring Junior High and Senior High Retreat, Happening and New Beginnings Weekends, Miqra Weekend Confirmation Camp, Youth participation in our Diocesan Convention, A Summer Mission Trip, Summer events such as participation in the (National) Episcopal Youth Event, General Convention, and the Youth Ministers Network. It works in partnership with the Office of Christian Formation and the Commission on Ordained Ministry in sponsoring the spring Leadership and Ministry Fair. It also assists the diocesan campus ministries at Northwestern University, Northern Illinois University, the University of Chicago, and the South Loop Campus Ministry in sponsoring events such as the fall Campus Ministry retreat.

A Word on Scholarships:
It is our goal that no child, youth, college student, or young adult miss an event because of financial reasons.
We offer scholarship assistance for all of our programs. We raise funds for this purpose. Ideally we ask the family to pay 1/3, the parish 1/3, and diocesan scholarship funds 1/3.
We work with our congregations to make sure their young people have funding to attend events and camps.
