Diocesan Convention 2008

November 21 – 22, 2008

Westin, Lombard

On the diocesan website:  http://www.episcopalchicago.org/convention/index.cfm

Yes, it IS time to start thinking about Diocesan Convention NOW!   If you would like to be a Youth delegate, just attend as a youth participant, or as an adult participant!

The early bird registration deadline is September 15!  So, since the youth budget is helping with this, we want to get ourselves signed up for the early bird rate!

So, how do you apply to be one of the 12 Youth delegates (who have seat, voice and vote on the Convention floor?)  fill out the Application for Youth Delegates

Youth Delegates are asked to consider attending all day Friday and Saturday, but will still be considered if Saturday is the only day they can attend.   All youth are asked to be present after school or as soon as they can arrive on Friday evening of convention.  Sue Cromer will take care of your hotel room reservations if you would like to attend as a part of our youth presence at Diocesan Convention.

If you are able to pay the full price, early bird registration is $25 (due September 11), regular $50 (due October 15), late $75.   Meals are:  $12 lunch Friday,  $60 Fri banquet, $12 Lunch Saturday, Hotel rooms are $120 for a double room, so one person's share should be $60.    So, by my figures, to pay to attend, it should be $160 (subsidized) for early bird, $185 for regular fee, $210 for late fees.  Funds are available to subsidize the fees for youth participants!   More explanation on this if you let me know that you want to attend.

There will be a meeting in preparation for Convention.

.

Convention is tons of fun for everyone!   Come and join us.  More information will follow for those who choose to be youth delegates or choose to register as general participants as youth!
