Satisfies requirement of one-day of anti-racism training for elected and appointed lay leaders. This course is a prerequisite for the three-day training required of clergy. Training should be repeated every five years.
The Animating Antiracist Ways of Being workshop (formerly called Introduction to Antiracism) offered by Crossroads builds a foundation of shared analysis of systemic oppression among colleagues, establishes skills for talking about race and racism, and introduces participants to Crossroads’ applied tools for dismantling racism: an equation framework to describe systemic racism, an applied power analysis, and the Continuum on Becoming an Antiracist Institution.

Bishop Clark invites lay leaders and clergy to join her on June 12 at noon for the next “Lunch, Learn, and Lead” session on Zoom. The one-hour program, open to all lay leaders and clergy, will focus on legal and financial best practices for congregational leaders, with presenters Michael Peregrine, diocesan chancellor, and Rebecca Roberts, comptroller.
