FEEDING MINISTRIES

BUDDY BAGS of DIXON

A community is a collaborative effort supported by several area churches and local organizations providing food to the Dixon elementary school children in need.

FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN 

What a great ministry for both providing food packets for those in need and getting a group (congregation, youth etc. to work together). This is a well organized effort which all interested in feeding ministries should explore.

NEIGHBORS IN NEED

This feeding ministry is a monthly feeding program providing for over 100 individuals specifically occurring every 3rd Tuesday. Volunteers are recruited to cook and serve the food. In addition, hats, socks and gloves are collected and each December provided to the “guests” according to their needs. This is a ministry that takes coordination of the volunteers and their duties to keep all running smoothly.

HOMELESS - CHICAGO URBAN MINISTRY AND LIFE INTERVENTION

CUMALI - CARE FOR THE INVISIBLE HOMELESS IN CHICAGO

A small (in size) but hugely successful ministry that provides complete meals, socks, clothing and the “ministry of presence” to those homeless individuals “living” under Lower Wacker Drive in Chicago. In existence for over 8 years they are a dependable resource to those “living on the streets.” Join in as a volunteer, help prepare food or simply learn where else this might work.
