The 79th General Convention of the Episcopal Church was held in Austin, Texas from July 5-13. The General Convention, which meets every three years, is the governing authority of the Episcopal Church.

Over the course of the meeting, deputies and bishops met and acted on a resolutions addressing immigration, prayer book revision, Israel-Palestine and the readmission of the Episcopal Church of Cuba as a diocese. Read a wrap up of General Convention from Episcopal News Service.
