The Church of the Holy Spirit in Lake Forest seeks a full-time Sexton to serve as the caretaker of church buildings, furniture and grounds. The Sexton is responsible for the operation and maintenance of building systems and equipment; executing daily work requests and preventative maintenance as scheduled; and ensures the overall facility cleanliness and maintenance needed to welcome and encourage parish life.

Qualifications: Previous experience with youth in grades 6-12 and commitment to progressive Christian mission, vision, and values. Coordinator of Children and Youth Programs (Part time)

The Episcopal Church of St. John the Evangelist is a progressive parish that worships in a traditional manner, recognizing that music unites us together as a community and draws our hearts and souls closer to God.
We are seeking a talented Director of Music who is well versed in a variety of musical genres to lead our congregation and volunteer choir in sung worship. The successful candidate will be familiar with the Episcopal liturgical tradition, will be a strong choral director, will be self-motivated and will work collaboratively with the Rector to grow and enhance the music ministry of St. John’s. Preference is given to those who are proficient organists, however, consideration will be given to those who are talented pianists and are willing to train as organists.
This position is currently a quarter-time ministry staff position (approximately 10-15 hours per week), with opportunity for expansion commensurate with the growth of the music program.

The Office Coordinator will support the Priest-in-Charge, Vestry, and parish in all administrative work pertaining to the various ministries at St. Ignatius, including but not limited to, commissions, bulletin creation, community counseling service, buildings and grounds, fund-raising events, God’s Will Resale Shop, marketing and promotional materials, and weekly/monthly newsletters. The Office Coordinator will also work as the receptionist and phone contact person in the church office. Qualifications include good communication and organization skills, working knowledge of standard office equipment, and proficiency in office software.

We have a talented volunteer adult choir. The music director will encourage the congregation’s love of traditional Anglican music and expose them to a wide variety of musical expression, particularly that which reflects the traditions of members of our congregation. Candidates should be experienced in liturgical music and willing to learn Episcopal/Anglican liturgy if s/he is unfamiliar with it.
