Office & Communications Manager (Part Time)

All Saints Church in Western Springs is looking for a part-time (temporary) Office and Communications Manager to help support a fun and active staff which includes paid and volunteer members. We aim to hire someone to work 15-17 hours/week; paying $18/hr. Basic tasks involve the oversight of day-to-day operations for the parish office by ordering supplies and maintaining office equipment; answering of parish phone, voicemail, and email; communication of parish information via email, website, and social media; compiling, proofreading and photocopying bulletins; and some work in Excel to track parish statistics and giving.  

Must be able to follow written or verbal instructions, manage one’s own time, and deal with distractions or interruptions while maintaining flow of work. This job requires a basic proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the willingness/ability to learn the basics of simple website editing software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also a must, as the Office and Communications Manager is the one who serves as the public face of the church to visitors and handles the majority of non-pastoral communication to and from the parish. Candidates must demonstrate that they understand and can maintain confidentiality and professionalism; several years’ prior experience in a similar office setting preferred. Some flexibility in scheduling is possible: we will work with the right candidate to fit hours into your schedule - but the majority of hours must be worked Tuesday-Friday during normal office hours (9 am – 5 pm).  This hire will be considered temporary for the time being, although we hope to  make it permanent and to expand its duties as mastery of the tasks outlined in the job description permits.  Interested applicants should submit a resume and cover letter to the Rev. Associate for Music Ministries (Part Time)

Facilities Manager (Part Time)

The Church of The Holy Spirit in Lake Forest, Illinois is seeking a part-time Facilities Manager.  CHS is a vibrant and historic parish that is a life-center in the community of Lake Forest.  It is located on a multi acre campus with 5 structures, consisting of the main church building, three freestanding residential structures plus a garage for clergy and staff.  The combined square footage of the buildings is nearly 60,000 square feet. Preserving, maintaining and improving this beautiful facility is an important mission of this congregation. 

Candidates should have broad knowledge of facilities management, including the performance of general maintenance and cleaning; in-depth knowledge and understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, construction and grounds maintenance;  the ability to perform as well as direct the performance of basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical and carpentry work;  basic computer skills including email, text messaging, spreadsheets and software programs needed in the role of facilities manager, such as budgeting software, CMMS software etc;  excellent organizational ability, written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with staff, parishioners and contractors.  A degree or continuing education in Facilities Management is a strong plus.

Office Coordinator (Part Time)

St. Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church seeks a part-time Office Coordinator to work approximately 16 hours per week:  Mon – Thurs, 8:30 – 12:30.   The hourly rate is $15.00.  The Office Coordinator will support the Priest-in-Charge, Vestry, and parish in all administrative work pertaining to the various ministries at St. Ignatius, including but not limited to, commissions, bulletin creation, community counseling service, buildings and grounds, fund-raising events, God’s Will Resale Shop, marketing and promotional materials, and weekly/monthly newsletters.  The Office Coordinator will also work as the receptionist and phone contact person in the church office.  Qualifications include good communication and organization skills, working knowledge of standard office equipment, and proficiency in office software.

Interim Musician (Part Time)

Music Director and Organist (Part Time)

We strive to have our music ministry reflect the diversity of our congregation, the local community and the wider church. The musician/organist will be working with a small and growing choir.
