Clergy Relief Society

The Clergy Relief Society of the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago raises funds to help retired clergy and their spouses. Our diocese faithfully honors and supports retired clergy and their surviving spouses for their whole lives. Currently, about 20 people benefit from grants, and donations will make it possible to provide more help.

Society of Miriam

The Society of Miriam was founded in 2012 by the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago to encourage, acknowledge and celebrate gifts made as part of an estate plan for the benefit of any Episcopal congregation, diocese or institution. The name of the society was inspired by noted Chicago philanthropist Miriam Hoover and her life-long commitment to serving those in need. Members of the Society of Miriam are celebrated at an annual gathering with our bishop. Complete a Society of Miriam Information Request Form for more information.
