Bishop Epting Named Assisting Bishop

November 19, 2011

At the 174th Convention of the Diocese of Chicago, Bishop Lee named the Rt. Rev. C. Christopher Epting as the diocese's assisting bishop.

Epting is the retired Bishop of Iowa and served for nine years as the Ecumenical Officer of the Episcopal Church. "He will be sharing in the visitation schedule and exercising his considerable talents in other ways around the diocese," said Lee in his announcement. Epting, who blogs at That We All May Be One, assumes his new post in January.
