Project Resource is a teaching and resource program that assists philanthropy and raises funds needed in God’s mission by making available a collection of easily usable, scalable and replicable tools and best practices that can adapted to any congregation or context. The resource is also constantly growing as participating congregations contribute their knowledge and best practices.
In the Diocese of Chicago, Project Resource is a way for the bishop's staff to support congregational vitality and fundraising efforts. Project Resource begins in 2016 with open-enrollment workshops to be held quarterly on topics ranging from annual giving to planned giving and membership development. Beginning in 2016, regional coaches will be identified so that in 2017, there will be trained, easily accessible coaches in every region of the diocese equipped to assist congregations wishing to adopt Project Resource methods.
